(to be) crazy about - ‍මොකක් හරි දේකට ගොඩාක්ම කැමතිවුනාම පිස්සුවෙන් වගේ ආසයි කියන්නේ.

• Amy is so crazy about golf, she'd like to play every day.
• I'm sure Katie will agree to go out on a date with Sam. She's crazy about him!

cup of tea - යමෙකු හෝ යමක් තමන්ගේ රුචිකත්වයට ගැලපීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් පැවසීමට තමයි මෙලෙස හදුන්වන්නේ. එහෙත් බොහෝවිට මෙය භාවිතා වන්නේ විරුද්ධාර්ථයෙන් එම දේ ගැන පැවසීමටයි  (the type of person or thing that one generally likes - NOTE: This expression is almost always used in the negative. She's not my cup of tea).

• Hockey isn't Alan's cup of tea. He prefers soccer.
• I know Joy is nice, but she's simply not my cup of tea.

(to be) down in the dumps - දුකෙන්, පශ්චත්තාපයෙන් පසුවීම ඇඟවීමට යොදාගන්න පුළුවන් (to feel sad; to be depressed)

• It's not surprising that Lisa is down in the dumps. Paws, the cat she had for 20 years, just died.
• It's easy to feel down in the dumps when it's raining outside.

(to) drop by - සුළු කාලයක් සදහා යම් ස්ථානය නතරවීමට යොදා ගන්නා අතර බොහෝවිටකලින් දැනුම් දීමකින් තොරව එසේ කරනාවිට යොදා ගන්නකි (to pay a short, often unannounced visit).

• If we have time before the movie, let's drop by Bill's house.
• "Hi, I was in the neighborhood so I thought I'd drop by!"

(to) hang around - දීර්ඝ වේලාවක් කල් ගත කරන්නට සිදුවීමට යොදා ගන්නට හැකිය (to spend time idly; to linger)

• We had to hang around the airport for an extra six hours because our flight was delayed.
• Nina's boyfriend Boris is coming over soon. She hopes her parents aren't planning on hanging around the house. 

(to) hang out - මොනවත්ම විශේෂ ‍දෙයක් නොකර කාලය කා දැමීම දැක්වීමට යොදා ගන්න පුළුවන් (to spend time (often doing nothing)

• Ted spent all of last summer hanging out by his friend's pool.
• Kathy and her friends like to hang out at the mall

(to) have a blast [slang] - මේක සාමන්‍යයෙන් වැදගත් ලෙස කරන කථා බහට යොදා නොගැනෙන බව පැවසෙන අතර යමෙකු දැඩි ලෙස විනෝදවීම දැක්වීම පිණිස යොදා ගන්නවා (to enjoy oneself very much)

• Last summer, Nicole had a blast backpacking through Europe with some friends.
• Heather spent her spring break in Fort Lauderdale with millions of other college students. She had a blast!

(to) have a good time - යමෙකු හෝ පිරිසක් ලැබුවාවූ  විනෝදයක් පිළිදව තමයි මෙයිනුත් කියවෙන්නේ (to enjoy oneself)

• Marcy and Jose had a good time salsa dancing at Babalu, a nightclub in Manhattan.
• Nora and Jake had a good time on their honeymoon in Maui.

take it easy - ඔළුවට වද ‍ගොඩකින් හිරිහැර සිදුවෙද්දී එයින් සැහැල්ලුවීමට කියන්නේ මෙසේය.

• You lost your keys? Take it easy, I'm sure you'll find them.
• Stop yelling and take it easy. I'm sure there's a good explanation for why Joe borrowed your car without asking first. 

(to) take something the wrong way - ඔන්න මෙහෙම කියුවයි කියල වැරිදි විදියට හිතන්න එපා/තරහ වෙන්න එපා කියන දේට යොදා ගන්න පුළුවන් මෙයට Don't කියන කොටසත් එකතු කරගත්තහම. නැත්නම් වැරදියට හිතුවා/ වැරදියට තේරුම් ගත්තා කියන එකට අර්ථය දෙයි.

• Don't take this the wrong way, but I liked your hair better before you got it cut.
• Jessica is offended. I guess she took it the wrong way when I told her she should exercise more.

there's no accounting for taste - මට නම් තේරෙන්නේ නැහැ එයාගේ රුචිඅරුචිකම් මොනවද කියලා වගේ දෙයක් කියන්න යොදා ගන්න හැකියි (it's impossible to explain individual likes and dislikes)

• Ted likes to put sugar on his spaghetti. I guess there's no accounting for taste.

under one's breath - කෙනෙක් සමහර වෙලාවට මුමුනන්නේ තමන්ගේ නුරුස්නාබව හෝ වෙනකෙනෙකුට නොදැනිය යුතු දෙයක් කියන්න (quietly; in a whisper)

• "Amber is strange," muttered Nicole under her breath, as Ted was leaving the room.
